Poweren has just finished another project in the lighting area with the renewing of the lighting installation in the classrooms at the school Centro de Educação Integral in the Portuguese city São João da Madeira.

All of the conventional classroom lighting was replaced by LED lighting for this project. All existing fixtures were replaced with a total of 12x56W fluorescent lamps for nine 10W LED projectors in 19 classrooms.

The solution adopted for this project was to use lighting tracks that allow for the position and number of devices installed to change in accordance with each room. Switches have also been installed to control three fully independent lighting circuits, which can be reconfigured at any time.

With an energy consumption reduction of more than 85% and practically without maintenance, a high level of quality lighting was achieved complying with the current applicable lighting standards.
